you have to look close to tell these aren't denim. what a great idea for potty-training age. jeans can be difficult for little ones to pull up themselves. think how cute these would be girlified with knitted or crocheted flowers that are so popular right now.

once you find something on the internet its like you open the flood gates and tons of ideas and patterns come flooding through...not always good ones, but luckily there are ones like this great hat, by "kate said". another twist on the "road on my head" hat, this one looks like a great pattern...and the site is a nice find.

From the artist: "Knitted in the round with hanging “stop lights."This cap was inspired by my son Charlie’s love for car and truck buttons. He found them in one of the knitting stores he often haunts with me. He asked for a cap and this is what I came up with! My favourite part are the “stop lights”. They swing wildly when he runs or in a good gust of winter wind. He loves it! So do his school friends!"

very cute idea and a simple to follow pattern. she includes lots of different sports, but since we are definitely a soccer family that one is my favorite. when my kids were younger i would have made these in team colors. fun idea.
